I'm surprised you tolerate that. I tell my students that I'll confiscate their cell phones and read text messages to the whole class.

the way i see it is it's not my problem if they don't apply themselves and flunk my class, but i'm starting to think i like your way of doing things a lot better.

It's effective, but I instituted the policy to watch them all panic at the thought.

just about the only student in my class who hasn't tried to sneak a peek at their phone while i'm talking has been jude.

do you have the famed honors student in any of your classes? i can't help but wonder if he's perfect in every classroom or just mine.

Jude Mathis is certainly an attentive student, but he isn't that dedicated to anyone but you.

You should never believe anything Luke says. Truthfully, I'm surprised he figured it out before Anise. But I'd hardly call myself an expert on the subject.

Yes. Guy is graduating this year, but I still considered taking my mentor up on the offer to head the biology department at Keterburg. Granted, we're both consenting adults and I'm not concerned about any perceived ethical violations. Kept secrets are typically negative; concealing happiness just seems unnecessary.

so you're alright with the terror twins blabbing it to everyone? luke and anise aren't exactly the first two people i'd want knowing about... seeing jude.

Certainly not. Fortunately for us, no one takes Luke seriously. Things with Anise are working themselves out.

good. everyone already thinks i'm shady enough. wouldn't want to prove them right.
